Happiest Birthday Butterflies

Hello!  Here’s another one of the cards that I made over last weekend.   I used two Memory Box stamps here.  The little butterfly is mounted on the end of the sentiment stamp block, I thought it was a nice addition to the flowers.

When I first finished this card, it only had the one butterfly on top.  It didn’t look quite right, but the white panel was mounted on foam, so I couldn’t stamp directly on it.  I opted to stamp the second butterfly on scraps and cut him out instead.  I like the little dimension.  Gotta love those happy accidents.  🙂

I tried a ton of different colors for the card base, but decided the neutral pebble was perfect.

Have a great day!  🙂

SUPPLIES:  (Unsure about exact matches for paper pad and twine, these are close)

  1. LOOOOOVE this card! I LOVE the papers and design–amazing:)

It turned out beautifully. I love how those little red butterflies pop with the white of the card and the yellow flowers. When I have this dilema, I use a set of my clear stamps to stick between the card base and the lifted layer, to support my stamping. Usually just a corner is all you need and its all that will fit between the foam adhesive, but I’m very thrifty on my foam usage, so there is always room. LOL

  3. So glad for your happy accident 🙂 This is just so fun and love how you arranged the strip of paper on the left side

  4. Love your little popping butterfly! Nice chevron piece, too! Such a cute card!
